Spectrum are able to provide specialist knowledge and skills with after market fitment of blue lights, light bars, radio and data communications systems to emergency vehicles.
Often these are unmarked private cars, used "on-call" for medical and other emergencies by senior ambulance, police or fire staff.
We are usually able to do this at the customer's own site in order to minimise the time that the vehicle is out of use.
Blue lights are typically fitted discreetly behind grills, on parcel shelves etc, with the minimum of alteration to the appearance of the vehicle.
Communication and mobile data equipment can also be installed covertly, again with close liaison with the vehicle owner.
Spectrum won the contract to convert six Skoda VR6's into Rapid Response Vehicles for the London Air Ambulance service, supplying blue lights, satellite navigation and 2-way radios.
